How long will it take to receive my lab order form?

All orders are processed within one business day (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM MST). Orders placed after hours Monday through Thursday will be processed the following day. All orders placed after hours on Friday will be processed by Sunday evening to ensure that you have your lab order form ready for any Monday appointments.

I placed an order but I can’t find my lab order form!

If you haven’t received your lab order form via the email you supplied at checkout within one business day, first check your spam folder in your email. If it isn’t there, simply contact us and we will be happy to resend it for you.

What does it mean to submit my anonymous data?

By using the discount at checkout, you are agreeing to submit the demographic information collected at checkout (this does not include your name, birth date, and location), which includes information about your lifestyle and diet, as well as your lab results when they’re processed. This information will be added to the public data pool so it can benefit professional and citizen researchers alike. No further action is needed after filling out the demographic info form, applying the discount, and checking out (beyond getting the blood test, of course!).

Further information can be found on the Terms and Conditions page.

How long will it take to get my results?

The time it will take to receive your results largely depends on what you have ordered. Different tests have different turnaround times. The general average is a few days, but it can be as much as two weeks with a larger quantity or less commonly ordered tests. If you have not received your results, or a notification in your LabCorp online portal that results are pending, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

I already paid for my order but I forgot to add a test! What do I do?

So long as you haven’t gotten the blood draw yet, simply contact us with your situation and we’ll be happy to help you get all the tests you need added to your order.

I filled out my name/birth date/address wrong on an order. What do I do?

Please do not use a form with incorrect information, as this can lead to a delay in results due to LabCorp requiring information that is an exact match to your LabCorp account. Email us right away with what information needs to be corrected, and the updated information, and we will correct the form and send the corrected version. No sweat!

I don’t live in the US, can I still use Own Your Labs?

You can still use Own Your Labs if you can access a LabCorp within the US to get the blood draw. Most people do this if they were already intending to travel to the US beforehand. If you cannot access a LabCorp in the US, then Own Your Labs cannot fulfill your order at this time. We hope to offer services outside the US soon.

Is there an expiration date on orders?

Currently there is a 6 month grace period for all orders, after which the order expires. So long as the blood draw is done within this timeframe there is no need to contact us to let us know of a delay. If you need to delay your testing beyond this point, please contact us.

I am a resident of New York/New Jersey/Rhode Island, can I still use Own Your Labs?

Unfortunately, due to state laws regarding private testing, you cannot use Own Your Labs in these states.

Please note that the current policy applies to residents of NY/NJ/RI, and all orders made with an address in these areas will be refunded, even if the individual intends to test outside of the state.

I have a test I’d like to get, but don’t see it on the shop page. Can I request it?

If you contact us and let us know what test you’re looking for, we can check to see if we can provide it. Please note that we only offer tests through LabCorp at this time and thus tests from other labs may not be available if it is not also provided by LabCorp.

Can I use insurance on tests ordered from Own Your Labs?

To keep our prices as low as possible, Own Your Labs does not accept insurance. As such, charges from Own Your Labs cannot be submitted for reimbursement from any insurance, or other health care benefit program. This restriction applies to both public insurance programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, etc) and private insurance programs (Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, etc).
