Hemoglobin A1c

[hbA1C, A1C] – A measure of average blood glucose (or blood sugar) levels averaged over the last 2 to 3 months. Medical professionals often use this test in combination with others to diagnose risk of diabetes.

Lipid Panel

Additional preparation indicated for this test. See full description for details. The Lipid Panel measures both cholesterol (total, LDL, and HDL) and fat (triglycerides) in the blood. These four metrics are commonly used as risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

Please note this test measures the same items as: the lipid panel with Total Cholesterol:HDL ratio, or lipid panel with LDL:HDL ratio, with the only difference being no ratio calculation is reported with the results (instead of Total Cholesterol:HDL Ratio, or LDL:HDL ratio respectively).

Preparation instructions: Remaining on stable diet for a few weeks prior to the blood draw recommended (per LabCorp).

Turnaround time: Expected turnaround is within one day, although this may vary depending on other tests ordered for the same blood draw, and expected variation with LabCorp testing.
