Description
Luteinizing Hormone (LH) works with Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) to induce ovulation of ovarian follicles, and secretion of estrogen by the ovary, and others functions. When measured in conjunction with FSH it is commonly used to evaluate Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in females, testosterone deficiency, and others.
Please note that Luteinizing Hormone is also tested via the Female Hormone Panel.
